On one side is a map of the islands at 1:365,000, naming numerous hills, rivers, bays, surrounding small islands, etc. Settlements, roads and tracks, and airfields are marked, with 21 places of special interest prominently highlighted and accompanied by descriptions. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 30’ intervals.

The reverse side has a street plan of Stanley showing locations of various services and government buildings, plus provides an introduction to the island, notes on its history and wildlife, a time line from the first possible sighting of Falkland Islands by Amerigo Vespucci in 1502 to 1999, and biographies of seven notable explorers connected with the islands.
